The Internship Program at Quest Diagnostics offers students the opportunity to gain experience in communications while working at the world’s leading provider of diagnostic testing, services, and information that patients and doctors rely on to make better healthcare decisions.

This position assists in the development and implementation of the company’s internal communications strategies and processes to drive engagement and create a two-way flow of information between the company and its 50,000 employees. The role is part of the Internal Engagement team within Corporate Communications.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support communication plans to amplify and facilitate strategic business and cultural initiatives
  • Draft and edit articles and employee messaging aimed at awareness, understanding and engagement
  • Manage internal communications mailboxes/route inquiries
  • Send finalized email announcements and post news articles to Quest intranet
  • Help source and create images for news articles
  • Familiarize and engage on Quest’s internal social media channels

To be eligible to participate in the Internship Program, students must meet the following qualifications by the start date of the program:

  • Completed three years in a four-year bachelor’s program in communications, journalism or marketing field
  • Strong written, oral and visual communication skills, as well as critical thinking ability and creativity
  • Solid knowledge of digital communication platforms that enable the organization to reach everyone and create a seamless communications network
  • Planning ability; effectively prioritizes work into process steps; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks; evaluates results for future projects
  • Dynamic, high-energy individual who initiates creative ideas and is able to follow through efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to work onsite (Secaucus, NJ) at least two days per week
