Job Summary:

The Market and Consumer Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting insights and information. This role will work closely with members of operations, account management, sales, finance, and a variety of other functions within the business. This position will provide a variety of key outputs including, but not limited to, vendor communications, vendor auditing and reporting, ongoing metric-based reporting and much more. While some tasks and projects will be routine in nature, a large portion will be ad hoc. The candidate must be data-driven, detail-orientated, have strong written and verbal communication skills, able to work both independently and under direction, and must also be able to successfully prioritize their efforts to meet tight deadlines. This position offers a challenging work environment that will stretch and develop analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1.     Responsible for maintaining and improving interactions with partners, service providers, and clients.

2.     Analytically evaluate, identify, and execute areas for operational improvements and streamlining processes.

3.     Work closely with operations and sales to research, analyze, validate, and leverage customer and vendor data

4.     Perform ongoing audits of vendor files to ensure continued compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), internal auditing, and licensing requirements.

5.     Professionalism, verbal, and written communication skills are critical. Internally, this role will work cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings. Externally, this role will interact with clients, vendors, and partners.

6.     Must be inquisitive, able and willing to ask questions and have a strong desire to learn the business, systems, programs, and industry.

7.     Simultaneously manage multiple projects while ensuring required deliverables are met by the established deadlines.

8.     Constantly promote a positive work environment and collaborate with cross-functional team members to support the business.

9.     Partner with key inputs to ensure that content is accurate, appropriate to the audience, and well-delivered.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

•      Bachelor’s degree in analytics, finance, business, or another related field.

•      Two (2) years professional work experience. A combination of equivalent education and experience may be substituted for the above requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•      Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

•      Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).

•      Must be confident, articulate, and possess professional written and speaking skills.

•      Demonstrated ability to creatively solve complex problems.

•      Must be self-directed, self-motivated, deadline-oriented individual with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.

•      Must be able to prioritize multiple projects simultaneous, while ensuring that deadlines are met.

Other Requirements:

•      Occasional travel – up to 10% – may be required at times.
