Basic Purpose:

  • Legal Administrator is responsible for providing highly confidential executive level support to the General Counsel-Business Development and other senior level attorneys, as well as assisting with the day-to-day administrative support to the legal team.
  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Creates and modifies correspondence, documents, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Revises agreements and documents, proofreads material, as assigned.
  • Tracks progress on projects, schedules calls, sends reminders, and performs other project management-related functions upon request.
  • Prepares and modifies charts, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations for various projects.
  • Makes travel arrangements, prepares expense reports.
  • Maintains attorneys’ calendars, schedules meetings, and appointments.
  • Prepares legal invoices for payment and runs reports as requested.
  • Maintains electronic file folders.
  • Opens and distributes incoming mail.
  • Performs general clerical duties including copying, faxing, scanning, mailing, and filing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education Preferred:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience. 

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years secretary with a minimum of 3 years Legal Secretary experience required.

Other:  

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline; effectively respond to office workflow issues; demonstrate evidence of effective communication skills – both written and oral; be willing to learn new tasks; cooperative, ability to produce quality of work, with special emphasis on accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, etc.).
